Alexandra (Alex) Ghara is the program director of the Robertson Foundation for Government (RFG), where she leads planning and implementation of professional development activities, alumni relations, and initiatives for diversity, equity and inclusion. Alex orchestrates foundation events, including activities designed to support current fellows in their career development and to foster alumni engagement to build a network of government service leaders. She is also involved in facilitating collaborations with partner schools, federal agencies, and other organizations.
Alex has more than 10 years of experience in program management and administration across the public, private, nonprofit, and academic sectors. Prior to joining RFG in 2014, Alex managed an international database of visa and passport requirements for the leading global provider of immigration and visa services. She served as the Community Affairs Liaison in the Office of Equity, Diversity and Community Outreach at Louisiana State University. In this role, she was involved in managing public relations and civic engagement, cultivating external partnerships, and executing campus-wide and community-based initiatives. She also worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development in a human resources role.
Alex received her bachelor's degrees in political science and African/African American studies and her master's degree in political science from Louisiana State University. She is also a Certified Professional in Management designated by the American Management Association (AMA-CPM).
