APSIA: Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs

APSIA brings together the leading graduate schools around the world specializing in international affairs. RFG supports various APSIA efforts, including sponsoring the Diversity Forum Series, which seeks to inspire traditionally underrepresented students and young professionals – and those who counsel them – to seek out careers in international affairs. RFG also provides support for the Public and International Service Advisors (PISA) network.

Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security

The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security is setting a course for a more stable, peaceful, and just world by examining and highlighting the roles of women in forging peace and growing economies. RFG sponsored the creation of a resource database for DEI-related topics in international affairs and public policy education.

Harold W. Rosenthal Fellowship in International Relations

The Rosenthal Fellowship is a prestigious program that offers our country’s most outstanding and civic-minded graduate students in international affairs the opportunity to spend a summer working to solve some of our biggest national and global challenges. RFG is a longtime partner of the Rosenthal Fellowship providing direct fellowship grants and joint summer programming for the RFG and Rosenthal Fellows.

International Career Advancement Program (ICAP)

ICAP is a program for highly promising mid-career professionals who are committed to diversity, equity and inclusiveness. RFG provides direct fellowship funding in support of federal employees’ participation in the program.

Partnership for Public Service

The Partnership for Public Service is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that strives to revitalize the federal government by inspiring a new generation to serve and by transforming the way it works. RFG collaborates with PPS on the Rosenthal Fellowship, programs and events, and sponsoring the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals.

Public Policy and International Affairs Program (PPIA)

PPIA works to promote the inclusion and full participation of underrepresented groups in public service and to advance their leadership roles throughout civic institutions serving domestic and international affairs. RFG sponsors and participates in the semi-annual Public Service Career Expo.

The Volcker Alliance

The mission of the Volcker Alliance is to advance effective management of government to achieve results that matter to citizens. They envision a public sector workforce with the experience, preparation, and commitment to ensure government—local, state, and federal—delivers with excellence. RFG is a longtime partner of the Volcker Alliance, providing grant support and collaborating on various causes, most recently, the Government to University Initiative (G2U), which is a collaborative national effort to connect jobseekers to public service jobs.

U.S. Diplomatic Studies Foundation (DSF)

The DSF seeks to provide support for a rigorous, effective, and efficient State Department training continuum that prepares national security leaders at every stage of their careers. RFG provided grant support to launch the Peace Games series, a simulation series to prepare U.S. diplomats to effectively assess rapidly evolving crises, employ interagency and private sector resources, and coordinate with host country leadership and other external assets to respond and diffuse destabilizing situations – i.e. to win the peace.

Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS)

The VSFS is an internship program for American college and university students to virtually intern at U.S. federal agencies. RFG sponsors the annual VSFS Intern of the Year Awards.

WFPG: Women’s Foreign Policy Group

Since its founding over 20 years ago, WFPG has been committed to promoting women’s leadership and voices in international affairs through its in-depth global issues programming and mentoring activities. RFG engages WFPG in joint programming including a summer professional development series on opportunities for a career in international affairs and how to navigate the application and interview process.
