Alexandra (Alex) Ghara is the Vice President of the Robertson Foundation for Government (RFG), where she leads planning and implementation of professional development activities, alumni relations, and initiatives for diversity, equity and inclusion. Alex orchestrates foundation events, including activities designed to support current fellows in their career development and to foster alumni engagement in building a network of government service leaders. She is also involved in facilitating collaborations with partner schools, federal agencies, and other organizations.
Alex has more than ten years of experience in program management, grant administration, curriculum and training development, research design and data management, stakeholder cultivation and collaborative partnerships, and initiatives for diversity, equity and inclusion. Prior to joining RFG in 2014, Alex was a program manager and linguist providing immigration and visa services. She served in the Office of Equity, Diversity and Community Outreach at Louisiana State University where she was involved in managing public relations and civic engagement, cultivating external partnerships, and executing campus-wide and community-based initiatives. She also worked in human resources at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
Alex received a Bachelor of Arts in African & African American Studies and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University. She is also a Certified Professional in Management designated by the American Management Association (AMA-CPM).
