International Security and Economic Policy

Katherine Carson-Seevers is an M.P.P. degree candidate at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy specializing in international security and economic policy. While in graduate school, she has worked as a research assistant analyzing survey data on corruption in Mexico and public opinion in Iran. She also interned at McLarty Associates, the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, and the American Security Project.

Before graduate school, she administered democracy and governance programs in Latin America at the National Democratic Institute, served as an English Language Assistant in Spain, worked for Amigos de las Américas in Peru and Washington, D.C., interned with the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, Spain, and managed an after-school tutoring program for the Georgetown University Center for Social Justice.

Katherine earned her B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and her master’s degree in European Union Studies from the Universidad de Salamanca. She speaks English and Spanish.
