Originally from Reading, PA, Kyle graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Journalism, and a certificate in Middle East and North Africa Studies. During his undergraduate studies, he spent a semester in Meknes, Morocco to study Arabic. After graduation, Kyle returned to Morocco as a Peace Corps Volunteer. As a youth development coordinator, he facilitated programming for all grade levels in language-learning, music, sports, and professional skills.
On returning to the US, Kyle moved to Denver, CO. In between skiing and camping, he worked as a Social Insurance Specialist for the Social Security Administration, providing support to retirement, disability, and Medicare claimants nationally. After two years, he transferred to the downtown Washington, DC Social Security office to serve the greater DC community. He began pursuing his Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Maryland as a Robertson Fellow in the fall of 2018.
