Abby Kamp is from New Haven, Connecticut and moved to Washington, DC to pursue a bachelor’s degree in international Relations from the George Washington University (GWU). While at GWU, she interned for the Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration and studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador.
After graduation, she received a Fulbright Grant to teach English in Natal, Brazil. She also worked for the Immigration team at the Bipartisan Policy Center, a nonprofit think tank in Washington DC, and Booz Allen Hamilton where she supported several federal clients within the Department of Defense. At the University of Maryland, she will focus on international security and evaluation methods for security programs.
