Demetria Charlifue hails from Washington, DC where she graduated with dual Bachelor degrees in Arabic and Middle East Area Studies from George Mason University in 2018. Throughout her collegiate studies, Demetria interned at the Middle East Institute, the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt, and various offices at the Department of State. In 2016, Demetria studied Arabic in Amman through the Department of State's Critical Language Scholarship. Since graduating, Demetria has worked with the Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development supporting U.S. Government foreign policy objectives and development initiatives in the Middle East. Demetria grew up in the Foreign Service and looks forward to following her parents' lead by pursuing a career in public service through diplomacy.
