At the University of Maryland Kevin will study Public Policy with a concentration in International Security and Economic Policy. His research interests include terrorism and insurgency, nuclear strategy, and the causes of war. He is also interested in learning how he can use the tools of political science to better understand regional security issues in the Middle East.

He hopes to work as a foreign service officer with the Department of State or as an analyst in the Department of Defense or the intelligence community.

Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati with degrees in both International Affairs and Arabic Language & Culture. Upon graduation he interned with The Stimson Center’s South Asia program where he provided research support on topics such as the U.S. war in Afghanistan, the India/Pakistan nuclear rivalry, and conventional military dynamics in the Indo-Pac region.

Most recently he was the director of research for the Potomac Advocates, a consulting firm specializing in defense and national security.
