Cory Rogers is a Master’s candidate at the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California San Diego, concentrating on International Politics and Environmental Policy. Prior to entering GPS, Cory was based in Indonesia, where he worked variously as a journalist and editor for local and international publications. Most recently, he served as a Communications Officer for UNICEF Indonesia.
A native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Cory holds a history degree from Oberlin College and a bachelor’s of music from Oberlin Conservatory, where he studied jazz drums. Upon graduation, Cory was awarded the Shansi Fellowship to Gadjah Madah University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, where he taught undergraduate English language courses and graduate students at the Center for Religion and Cross Cultural Studies. In his spare time, Cory enjoys surfing, traveling, and following University of North Carolina basketball.
