International Affairs

Michael graduated with a Master in International Affairs from UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy in 2019. He specializes in International Trade and China Studies. He currently serves as a Presidential Management Fellow (Statistician) at the Department of Commerce. Michael is professionally proficient in English, German, and Mandarin, and has a working knowledge of Spanish and Indonesian.

Michael is a former Boren Scholar (2012-2013), Rosenthal Fellow (2016), and Boren Fellow (2017-2018). He has completed internships with Premium AEROTEC, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, and the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service in Shanghai. Prior to graduating, he served as a Teaching Assistant for a graduate-level course in Statistics. He is interested in building a career in the international development sector, focusing in particular on East and Southeast Asia.
