The George & Barbara Bush Foundation and the Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs at The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University invite you to join us for a very special online event featuring Robert M. Gates — former Secretary of Defense and Director of Central Intelligence, President of Texas A&M University, and Dean of The Bush School of Government and Public Service.

This conversation, moderated by The Bush School Dean Mark Welsh, will cover Secretary Gates’ historic government service, his thoughts on current events, and of course his new book, EXERCISE OF POWER: American Failures, Successes, and a New Path Forward in the Post-Cold War World, which was released on June 16th by Knopf.

This special program will also feature comments by Andrew Card, the new interim CEO of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, who will join the conversation and share his thoughts on the Bushes' legacies of service.
